Fun in Recovery
Updated: Jan 23
Often, when people start abusing drugs they stop doing activities and hobbies that they previously enjoyed. In recovery, it is important to return to those enjoyable activities or, find new ones. Having fun in sobriety is not only possible, it is also better! When people begin abusing substances it is fun at first, then it brings problems and in the end, there is no fun, only problems.
At the Fraser Recovery Program our clients learn to enjoy new activities together. At our camp we introduce them to activities such as fishing, canoeing, snowshoeing, and board and card games. Everyone learns to have fun and laugh as they chip in with the chores.
