At the Fraser Recovery Program we have two group meetings per week with our clients. At these meetings they learn about substance abuse and get the tools required to help maintain their sobriety. For example, they learn about triggers and how to handle cravings. They also receive help in dealing with personal difficulties. The trust established between staff and clients allows them to easily open up about the problems that they are facing.
Having group meetings also creates solidarity, which leads to members helping and supporting each other.
"Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much."
