“This program is a Godsend. I don’t know what I would have done without it. The Camp is “home.” It’s really a magical place like nowhere else on earth. It’s where I find relief when the only other option is alcohol and drugs. There is no temptation here. The camp is so peaceful where you feel accepted no matter what you have done in the past. They’re here to help you. They don’t judge you. Slowly, I’m finding myself, who I am and what I like and don’t like about myself. The meetings keep me grounded and remind me that I am not alone. I just want to be happy and that’s why I am here. It can be harsh. The truth hurts. They do not accept any lame excuses; we have to face the facts. But I feel cared for and in another way it is fun and we laugh a lot….” - Paul L.
